Things that aren't there anymore...

I wanted to start a thread of discussion of vacation destinations that aren't there anymore. I just read today that the Mirage Casino and Resort in Las Vegas is shutting down in July. That was the one place that my great-aunt used to go to when she was "too old" to enjoy her annual trip to Jamaica in the 1980s.

My parents took their honeymoon in the Poconos at a specific honeymoon resort called Penn Hills. I was in the area for a conference at Skytop (highly recommend this destination!!) and purposely drove past there. The forest has taken over most of what was left after a huge fire, and the rest is graffiti'd up like a NY Subway station in the 80s.

What places used to be havens of leisure that isn't there anymore?
