My father always had sailboats so I grew up with some love of being on the sea.  Being a New Yorker I'm used to walking in crowds, eating in crowds, having activities in crowds-what is up with paying to vacation in crowds?

I was quite astonished to watch a 3 city block long, 12 story high town, work it's way up the Bosphorus, followed by a 4 city block long, 15 story high city,What is the attraction on its way to the Black sea. Who want's to be stuck on a hole in the water with thousands of other people wanting to do the same thing at the same time as you?

I honestly don't get it. What is the attraction of cruising?
