Commission Protection for cancellation valid on new bookings that include purchase of Pleasant Holidays’ Travel Protection Plan
  • Cancel for Any Reason – Cash Back includes 100% commission protection
  • Cancel for Any Reason – Future Travel Credit (FTC): travel advisors receive the greater of $200 or 10% of their original commission, not to exceed the original commission amount
  • Booking must be paid in full at time of cancellation and must be cancelled in full to receive commission protection
  • Commissions will be paid via check or electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the travel agency

Limitations and Restrictions

  1. Commission protection is not available for cancellations of accommodations, transportation or other services resulting directly or indirectly from any occurrences or conditions including, but not limited to, negligence, defects in vehicles, equipment malfunction, strikes, “Acts of God,” riots, terrorist acts or threats, wars, acts of governmental authority, theft, delays, weather conditions, environmental conditions and cancellations or changes in itineraries or schedules.
  2. No-shows do not qualify for commission protection. Commission refunds will not be provided to travel agents for clients who fail to travel without prior notification to Pleasant Holidays.
  3. Bookings must be cancelled in full in order to qualify for commission protection.
  4. For plans purchased on or after 03/11/2020, travel agents must apply for the commission protection refund within 10 business days from the date on which the cancellation occurs.
  5. Commission protection is only available with the purchase of Pleasant Holidays’ Travel Protection Plan and is subject to all terms and conditions of the plan.
  6. Any agency fee is not protected with either Cancel for Any Reason protection option, and will be refunded back to the client. Certain restrictions may apply.

Cruise Commission Protection

Cruise Vacation Plan Plus includes travel agent commission protection at no additional fee. Commission Protection is up to $100 per person for cancellations due to non-covered reasons, and 100% of commission for cancellations for covered reasons. Cruise Vacation Protection Plan Plus must be included for all travelers on the booking and be paid in full with initial deposit/payment for your trip. The booking must be paid in full at time of cancellation to receive commission protection.

To obtain commission protection, please first ensure your clients’ claim has been submitted to Trip Mate and complete this online form within 10 business days from the date on which the cancellation occurs.
